I’m John Madden, a software developer based in Limerick, Ireland. I’m currently full-time employed as a Senior Software Engineer with ACI Worldwide, Inc, specialising in C++ development on various Unix platforms.

I completed a BSc degree in Information Technology and Telecommunications at the University of Limerick in 2004.

My primary computer experience is in *nix administration (primarily Linux and Solaris) and software development in multiple different languages (C, C++, Perl, PHP and others).

I use open source software, support open standards, submit patches and, time permitting, develop open source software.

Under certain conditions, I’m available for contract work in development and system administration and also available for open source consultancy.
